We've heard time and time again that the number one reason people attend face-to-face conferences and events is to network with their peers. With that in mind, we built The Social Collective, a hosted, white-labeled web and mobile service in use by some of the world's finest events (e.g. SXSW and Oracle OpenWorld) designed to help your attendees make the most out of events by networking with their peers, exchanging contact information, building personal schedules and interacting with speakers, sponsors and exhibitors. We launched the product in May of 2008 at the BEA Participate event in Chicago. Since then, we’ve attracted hundreds of prospects and dozens of customers, received investments from multiple angels, taken part in a technology/venture capital incubator program known called Launch Box Digital and launched a spin-off product called Crowd Campaign that helps people run online social media contests to help promote their brands.
Our key areas of expertise are rapid software application design, development and hosted deployments: between our founder and our Lead Engineer and CTO, we have over 25 years of enterprise software experience. We also have experience handling large and complicated events and our SVP of Sales has a background in crowdsourcing, having sold the services of a well-known crowdsourced code development shop before joining our team. Our founder comes from a consulting background and all of us have experience in customer service. We value our customer relationships dearly, knowing that no matter how great our products and services are, there is no substitute for providing our customers with a pleasant experience from the first sales call to the post-mortem meeting. If you’re not willing to be a reference for us when we’re done, then we don’t consider the engagement a success for you or for us.
